In my previous post I shared I would follow-up and provide more information during Mental Health Awareness Month about TUT’s Rest Management Retreats. But if you like me, felt overwhelmed by last month’s global conversations, then taking a seat away from the screen for some time is not a bad idea. In fact, taking a backseat to low vibrating frequencies is YOU choosing to REST.

Although May honors Mental Health Awareness, I am yet to notice the numbers of illnesses decline. So much so, counseling programs are overwhelmed by a number of applicants wanting to join the field of counseling to place themselves in the heat of this fire that keeps growing to serve as interceptors. What a great sign of confirmation that love for others is not lost. Be observant of different sources presenting news that cultivates and spreads hopelessness, energy that encourages the belief “there’s no love in the city.” There is lots of love in the city! If you are a helper, be mindful of these times we face together are also calling for even the helper to be helped.

In the Spirit of iron sharpening iron, we are coming through and out! In every corner of the world much is occurring at the speed of light, but as much as you can, steal away a moment to sit with yourself and inquire with yourself, are you being authentic with yourself? (allow that question to gravitate to whatever appears for you without giving your thoughts immediate definition).

“Authenticity” and mental health goes hand in another.

Being true to you and what you desire to reflect through your personhood comes with many challenges that may look like questioning loyalties you never thought you would question, fighting to affirm old values that suited the older version of yourself, and possibly even fear of the danger you might ensue running after a you, you always wondered about.  This is dreaming. Diving into imagination. But there is too much gunk in the way distracting you from the time to just sit – and “b”. While we focus on how we believe others are not being true to us at times, “we” are not being true to ourselves – focus on that.

For all My Dreamers, you must grow into your dream to receive the manifestation. When children grow from one stage of development to the next stage of development, their bodies experience a discomfort they have no words for, just disconcerting emotional expressions that parents have to search high and low in the treasure hunt to discover what is the secret language to soothe this baby – who is very different from others. Parents, you are even incapable of truly understanding the pain a baby experiences in the midst of growth. Well, even as adults, we too experience the same stretching and discomfort when we’re in the “hands-off” state; the “being still” state. The state where we just need to sit – and “b” small in our own reflections of truth that are uncomfortable, unclear, and unspoken.

This is when you rest and come face to face with truth.

The Rest Management Training Retreat supports that truth you seek to discover – when your intention is to rest. For information on upcoming retreats please complete a contact inquiry with the subject – RMT. Be well!
